I absolutely love feathered light shades. I have done ever since I first saw one. They're just stunning aren't they? I first saw one at an interior shop called Heals. (I actually wrote a blog post about the shop which you can read about here >>> Head Over Heals.) Their Eos Pendant shades were something I felt would look really nice inside my home. Ever since I saw it, I knew that somehow a feathered lamp shade HAD to enter my home, one way or another.

National DIY day is just around the corner. I hope all of you DIYers are as excited as I am! As you can probably guess already from my DIY posts, I love anything crafty especially when it comes to home and interior. So naturally, becoming an ambassador for National DIY day was super exciting for me as it's right up my street!

Don't we all love a good plump sofa? A nice cushiony one that we can sink into and that will bounce right back even after we have sat on it for ages! One that even after you toddler has jumped his life out on it, it won't look like you've had it for 10 years. Yes, I certainly would, but even I know that's not always possible and that eventually our sofa's won't look so new anymore.

It's the festive season! Pretty little lights are everywhere. I see them outside when I'm walking, suspended on trees, lighting up the outside of houses and all over shopping malls. I love going outside and seeing them decorate the roads making the streets look magical. Considering we don't have many hours of daylight anymore because of winter, it's almost like the lights make up for it.

With baby on the way, I can't help but get into super organization mode and just want to do loads of DIY's. I don't know if it's just a pregnancy thing, but lately I have been on full de-clutter mode meaning I just want out with all of the old and in with the new!

It's that time again and I can't believe it's come so soon. Eid Al Fitr literally just felt like yesterday and we're already at Eid al Adha! For those of you who don't know, as Muslims we celebrate two Eid's in a year. Yeah a little bit like two Christmas's which is really cool as we get to enjoy double the celebrations!

I haven't had these lamps for very long. I bought them on a holiday trip I took to Dubai just before I got married. I fell in love with all of the Persian lamps that seemed to be everywhere whilst we were there. They were super cheap as well compared to if I was going to buy them in London.

I went through a phase a few years ago where I became obsessed with knitting. I took a short online course where I learnt the basics of knitting which turned out to be really useful.

I'm not sure if you guys remember a post I wrote about plumping up your old sofa? Well if you remember in the post I bought a little too much poly-fil and ended up with loads left over. Personally I don't think you can ever have too much poly-fil because I find there's always something at home which needs some extra stuffing up. It's never a bad thing to make anything look more plump! In my case, my pouffe was looking a little sad and needed some filling up to bring it back to life.

For those of you who don't know already, I have a one year old son and I absolutely love dressing him up. Buying cute little t-shirts with prints or phrases is just a must (ladies with babies, you'll know what I'm talking about)! Any excuse to dress him up right? This time though, instead of just buying one I decided to make my own print on his t-shirt instead

Okay, so decorating my son's room is something I still haven't got around to. It's still the room I am most unsure of. I want cutesy childlike furniture but I want it to last until he's much older. Saying that, I was browsing through Pinterest and came across DIY Pouffes. Now, I love pouffe's. They can make any room look cozy just by laying on the floor. Because of that, I've decided, I'm going to make a Pouffe for his room! I just love making and the best part is, you can pretty much make it look how you want, I mean talking in terms of colour choices, fabrics and textures. Another DIY for you guys?!

Okay, so for the past week or so, I've been working on making this sofa look brand new again. I've been meaning to do this for a while now and finally I have the chance. But how I was going to do it had me quite unsure. So whilst searching online to find the easiest and most cost effective ways to get it done, I came across Apartment Therapy's Sofa Solutions on How to Plump up an Old, Saggy Sofa for Under $30 and thought that's it! I read her post and it's such a simple and cheap way to do it. I used her method of using Poly-fil to fill the sofa's up. Read along and I'll show you 5 simple steps I took to plump it up.

When decorating a room sometimes I want furniture to blend in, and at times I want furniture to stand out. Well this is probably one of those item's I prefer to blend in. I know I have this obsession with matching and by now you all must think I am some crazy OCD matching freak. To be honest the more I write these blog-posts, the more I'm starting to believe it myself. Well, I have this thing with everything in a room having to match in one way or another. So here goes, I transformed my son's play pen white because I felt it would work in our living room more. When I got his play pen it was a brown colour. The colour was nice, I just didn't believe it looked nice with the rest of the room. The only thing I could do was DIY!

When, decorating a house it is a must to have one or two amazing pieces of wall art right? But there's just so many so where do I start? That my friend is a good question. I've looked around at a few different types of wall art and ended up not getting very far with which type to go for. To be honest, I'm sure as most of you have guessed by now, I'm quite particular. I want something that will be simple but have meaning also. As a result of that, I've ended up making my own! My creative instincts were just buzzing at the thought of being able to do it myself. So here are a few that I have made. The striped ones are inspired by a picture I found in Megan Hess's Instagram. Obviously they're not framed yet, but when I get to that, I will make a post of the finished product and how it looks inside my apartment.

So buying all the basics for my home I've started to find little boring. Getting onto the decorative pieces are what really excites me. So I purchased the Vittsjo from Ikea. For all those Ikea lovers out there, you will know that it's just a basic tower glass shelf.
