Anyway enough about how much celebrating we're doing, decorating is the part I really want to get onto. I've really come to enjoy preparing and putting up the decorations just before Eid. Last time I had bought a bunch of different types of ceiling decor and suspended them from the ceiling (you can read about it here Decorate Your Home). This time I've decided to stick to just the balloons. They're not just plain balloons though, they are glitter dipped balloons and I have prepared a lovely little tutorial for you if you're looking for decorating ideas.
What You'll Need
- Balloons
- Glitter
- PVA Glue
- Plastic container
- Paintbrush or Sponge
- Newspaper
- Blow up all of your balloons so they're ready in line to start dipping.
- Water the PVA glue down a little so it isn't so thick when applied onto the balloon. Don't add too much water as it'll start to drip.
- Using your paintbrush or sponge, coat the bottom half of your balloon in glue, not too much though. I found the less glue I used, the less patchy the glitter came out.
- Next, dip your balloon in the glitter. I dabbed the balloon again and again to try and get an even finish. Pat off any excess glitter to try and reduce the amount of glitter that goes everywhere!
- Leave it on top of the newspaper until the glue dries.
- Repeat again with all of your balloons.
These look adorable! I can't take my eyes off literally. I love how you put your efforts in decorating your home!
