I have been feeling more and more grateful lately for everything I have been blessed with. A new year has begun and I cannot help but feel that I made it through a roller coaster of a year with all of the trials I faced. With everything that went on, I could not have made it without the wonderful people who helped and supported me.

I'm always looking forward to boxing day. It used to be about going out and shopping for myself but lately that's changed. I used to look forward to going out with my sister and we would go to our favourite shops to try to get the best bargains. One of our favourite shops was obviously Zara. Now that I've had kids though, I find myself buying from Zara kids' range more.

Bell Jars And Fairy Lights

So there seems to be a fairy lights craze lately. There also seems to be a new thing going around with putting them in jars. I completely fell in love with this idea from the moment I saw it. The lights almost look like fireflies that have been captured in a jar. It's such a beautiful effect.

My First Wudu Book!

It's inevitable that I've grown a love for children's books. I mean, it was bound to happen after I had my son. Isn't it funny how it's me that's grown the love for children's books. After all, my son does really enjoy them so I guess that's why my interest in them has grown so much.

Interior Trend To Look Out For

Just before giving birth, I went a little DIY crazy in my son's room and went all in decorating. I haven't finished yet, It's only the beginning of decorating his room and after seeing the Jonathan Adler for Fisher Price collection, I fell in love. Adult-like children's furniture. Most of the Inspiration for my son's room will pretty much be based on this collection.

Step Inside My Hospital Bag!

It's starting to get closer to that time of giving birth. As most people probably know, some of us women go into super baby organization, mode meaning we prepare everything we need for the baby before arrival. This includes a few things such as organizing, cleaning and just making sure everything is ready. It also includes preparing a hospital bag which you have to anyway as we don't really know when the baby will decide to come! I'd say most of us end up preparing it at least a month before. Yes, a month sounds a little early right, but I'd say it's a good time to at least start.

From Bump To Birthday

I have been super busy lately and also quite tired and not feeling too well all at the same time. Yeah not so great when life gets really busy right. I'm trying to take it one day at a time though. Okay so it's not an illness and I'm not sick. A lot of you probably know by now, or have probably guessed, I'm pregnant!

Okay, so decorating my son's room is something I still haven't got around to. It's still the room I am most unsure of. I want cutesy childlike furniture but I want it to last until he's much older. Saying that, I was browsing through Pinterest and came across DIY Pouffes. Now, I love pouffe's. They can make any room look cozy just by laying on the floor. Because of that, I've decided, I'm going to make a Pouffe for his room! I just love making and the best part is, you can pretty much make it look how you want, I mean talking in terms of colour choices, fabrics and textures. Another DIY for you guys?!

DIY Baby Play Pen

When decorating a room sometimes I want furniture to blend in, and at times I want furniture to stand out. Well this is probably one of those item's I prefer to blend in. I know I have this obsession with matching and by now you all must think I am some crazy OCD matching freak. To be honest the more I write these blog-posts, the more I'm starting to believe it myself. Well, I have this thing with everything in a room having to match in one way or another. So here goes, I transformed my son's play pen white because I felt it would work in our living room more. When I got his play pen it was a brown colour. The colour was nice, I just didn't believe it looked nice with the rest of the room. The only thing I could do was DIY!

Child Room Inspiration - Jessica Alba Kid's Room

Children's room inspiration, I've seen so many different styles and it's somehow become mind boggling trying to decide what to go for in my son's room. Decorating his room has probably been the toughest for me so far because I'm just so unsure of what kind of decor to go for. I kind of want something that is quite childlike but will work until he's a little older. Too childish isn't really much of an option. Of all of the room's I've seen though, by far, these room's are definitely the best and a source of inspiration for decorating my son's room: Jessica Alba's kid's rooms.
