OOTD For A Ladies Night Out

Tuesday, 2 August 2016

Not long ago, I attended a sisters gala called Celebrate Us. It was a ladies only event so for someone like me, who wears an Abaya, it meant I could wear what I want! The dress code was to dress up so everyone came in dresses and beautiful gowns. (If you'd like to read about how the event went, I recently wrote a post on it which you can read about here.) I couldn't show you guys any pictures of me in my dress on the actual night so I thought I'd make a separate post of my outfit details so you guys can get an idea. Here's a little OOTD of what a wore.

If you are a lover of stars, well then keep on reading because you'll love this Abaya. This lovely open style Abaya is just what you'll need for Summer. And with Ramadan and Eid just around the corner, you're bound to need a wonderful simple, statement Abaya to wear.

Setta

Thursday, 7 January 2016

Hey there, so another addition to our Barakah collection is Setta. This means six in Arabic. It's an open front farasha abaya with a silk, butter pink bias binding. The binding comes down the front and across the ties. The ties are there to give that fitted look. but it's still kept modest as they go inside the abaya at the back. This gives it that fitted but not tight look, especially on the hips at the back.

Say hello to Thalatha

Sunday, 20 December 2015

Okay girls, so Thalatha is the latest addition to the Barakah collection. As all the other new pieces from the collection the abayas are named after Arabic numbers. Thalatha meaning 3.

My First Blogpost

Saturday, 28 June 2014

 Hi everyone, I'm brand new to this whole blogging thing. Not sure how to start this first post but here goes.
Let me just start by introducing myself, I am a young Muslimah, newly wed, Co. owner of a company called Barakah, for those of you who havn't heard of it, it's an abaya company run by my sister (owner of blog SheWasVain) and I, where we make our own abayas collection by collection for you lovely ladies to buy.
I chose the name StepInsideMyHandbag for this blog because it was the easiest way of me saying "step inside my life, if you want to see what I get up to" =].
And since we're on the topic of handbags, I just thought I'd give you guys a preview of a couple of my handbags and what goes on while I take photographs of them.
Enjoy =}
